The Opportunity*
Prezzee is undergoing tremendous growth and we require a Cloud Engineer to join our team.

As a Cloud Engineer at Prezzee, you will be responsible for guiding other engineers in best practices and frameworks to build Microservices systems, building maintainable code, ownership of projects, designing and writing tests, managing CI/CD pipelines and production releases, addressing technical and design requirements and providing mentorship to other team members. The Cloud Engineer is an application developer experienced in developing cloud native solutions. The solutions will be primarily be Back End Services, written as APIs, as part of a Microservices Ecosystem.

To be successful in the role of Cloud Software Engineer, you will bring experience in developing cloud native applications - joining a team working through re-architecting existing systems towards a microservices architecture. Besides deep involvement in the design of new services and software components, this role will also contribute towards building features on new and existing products, while maintaining ownership and monitoring of systems and services owned by your team.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play an instrumental part in fulfilling our FY23 strategic ambitions, one that is looking to disrupt the gift card and payments market globally.

• Typescript, ReactJS, NextJS
• Django, Python
• Swift, Kotlin, Java, Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM)
• Continuous Delivery & DevOps, GraphQL, Headless CMS, Docker, AWS, ECS, Serverless, DynamoDB, Step Functions, EventBridge, Terraform and Terragrunt

What are we looking for?*

• Experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, etc.)

• Extensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniques.

• A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design.

• Ability to design, estimate and build high quality and maintainable code

• Ability to maintain a codebase and keep frameworks up to date, identify tech debt and improvements proactively

• Extensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniques

• Experience working with technical and non-technical partners, with the capability to influence

• Able to collaborate across different teams and across all levels of seniority
